Suspended Grant
Recent presidential executive orders have “paused” the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. This long-standing grant comes through FEMA and our part is distributed by United Way of Warren County. You can find more about this on the bottom of a page on United Way’s website: https://www.efsp.unitedway.org/efsp/website/websiteContents/latestNews.cfm
This is a big setback for food and shelter programs in Warren County including the Little Miami Food Pantry. In 2024, The grant we received from EFSP covered 38% of our total budget. That money went to serve 4,091 food distributions to local families.
If you feel feeding and sheltering our neighbors in need is important and want to see the funding continued, please write or call our senators and congressman. Tell them to include the Emergency Food and Shelter Program in the next budget.
US Rep. Greg Landsman has inquired about the cuts that are impacting seven organizations in Warren County. I’ll post any forthcoming information here.

About Us
The Little Miami Food Pantry is a true community effort between the Salem Township trustees, member churches, United Way, Shared Harvest, donor grocery stores, dedicated volunteers, and regular people like you that support us financially and with food donations. We typically serve about 400 families each month, distributing 43 items per family. It takes a lot of hands working together to make the pantry work.
To participate, please bring proof of your address showing you live within the Little Miami School District. Ruth at the front desk will sign you up and you will be able to receive monthly food pickups.
Besides providing a way to contact us, this website is designed to extend an invitation to help out with a monetary or food donation, or to join us as a volunteer. The need is real. Like other nonprofits, our numbers are up, our expenses are up, but our funding is down. Please consider helping the pantry out.
